What is TradeSkillMaster AKA TSM
This week we are looking at the Quick Sell and Sniper functions within TSM to get you selling and buying and making gold. TradeSkillMaster is more commonly known as TSM and it is an addon suite for World of Warcraft. An addon suite is an addon that is made up of multiple parts that all work together. In this case, TSM is made up of parts such as Auctioning, Mailing, Crafting, Warehousing, Shopping, etc. If you want you can only download one or two of these modules. But I would highly recommend grabbing them all. I have been using it for years without finding it clunky or too much for my game or PC to handle considering what it does.
TradeSkillMaster allows you to set conditions for buying and selling on the AH. It then applies those condition or Operations to set Groups of items. It then allows you to post all these items very swiftly. The addon itself handles the pricing within the limits you have defined for that group. Which sounds confusing but I promise you it is really not that bad.
Quick Sell and Sniper Functions
In this episode, I show you how to use the Quick Sell function which will allow you to automatically sell anything in your bags that you can sell without needing you to create any groups or operations. It is not the optimal use of TSM but it will get your items on the AH for a fairly decent price. And it will get you making sales while you take the time to fiddle with the rest of it that we will cover next time.
We also look at the Sniper function; which you can use if you are not doing anything else on WoW, and can sit at the AH. Sniper searching will constantly scan the last page of the AH and bring you any deals that have just been posted for you to snipe-buy. We talked about the settings for this in last time’s episode. You will need to find your Sniper options in with the other options. And you can set it any way you like. The most common is something along the lines of ”30% DBMarket” but you can also check out Sheyrah’s video here for a more detailed and ergo more useful set up that really isn’t too hard to copy/paste over!
