The Darkmoon Faire is in town this week. You’ll find a ton of stuff to do at the Faire from Achievements, quests, games, and rewards. Usually, more games and rewards are added every couple of patches or so as well. Beyond Basics: Writing in Roleplay Tips and Tricks

Writing is a vital and important part of roleplay in the virtual and online capacity. But that is not to say that you need to be a good writer to roleplay online, at all. You don’t. But it definitely helps to know a few tips and tricks to improve your prose. It should also be noted that the best way to improve your writing is practice. And that even the best writer might not be the best roleplayer, as many other skills feed into being a good roleplayer as well. Today though we’re going to look at writing skills.

Beyond Basics is a series of posts that delve into different aspects of roleplay beyond the basics of character creation within an MMO setting. For our purposes, this setting is World of Warcraft but it can be useful in others too. This series will look at things like plots, storylines, and conversations. As well as the world and community around you as a player in an MMO. Explaining how you can best make use of that; and how it might differ from roleplay on tabletop games for example. Happy New Year: Focus For 2018

Happy New Year folks, first and foremost. I hope you had a wonderful holiday season wherever you were and whatever you were doing! Among my resolutions this year I want to focus on bringing this blog back to life once more. It died a death near the middle of last year after the second year in a row of close family and friend bereavements, on top of baby allergies and related troubles. I was just exhausted and ended up cutting out almost everything that wasn’t essential to survival for a good while. Things are however starting to look up and hopefully, this year will be a better one all around.

With that said I want to use this post to reaffirm my focus and mission statement. Mainly for my own sake to help me get back into the right mindset. But also for any of you interested and/or new around here and want to know what the deal is exactly.
